What You’ll Provide

Responsible for designing the appropriate control algorithms for electrified powertrain subsystem applications (engine, transmission, electric motors, thermal, charging, etc.). You will take role in the projects for the specification, development, testing and validation of electric vehicle control systems. You will work in a collaborative and global team environment.

The controls and software span the scope of Energy Management, Regenerative Braking, High Voltage Charging, Electric Machine Torque and Power Management, High Voltage Component Controls, Climate Controls, and many others.

  • Develop and deliver electric vehicle control systems for hybrid and full electric vehicles
  • Identification and management of functional requirements at system and/or component level
  • Specification, function development, modeling, simulation, vehicle integration and testing of electric vehicle control systems
  • Analysis of potential control algorithms for future hybrid-electric drivetrain topologies
  • Develop innovative controls for electrified powertrains
  • Implement your ideas in a model-based development environment

What You’ll Put to the Table

  • A university degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience on electrified powertrain control systems
  • Practical experience on development of hybrid and electric vehicles

  • Multi-discipline (mechanical, electrical, electronics, software) technical knowledge of electrified powertrain components, systems and architectures
  • Expertise in model-based software development and testing tools (dSPACE, ETAS, Vector) for hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Experience with relevant automotive product development processes
  • Able to provide technical guidance to team members on what, why, and how
  • Preferably knowledge about AUTOSAR software architecture and ISO26262 functional safety
  • Good English skills (spoken and written)
  • A highly motivated self-starter and team-player with very good communication skills
